  • In a surprising comeback Hilary Clinton took the democratic primary by nearly 7,000 votes.
    • Obama, who was Iowa's winner, was expected to take the state.
    • This was no doubt a race saving win for our crying Hilary who apparently thought she might have to drop out.
  • After another humiliating defeat democrat candidate Bill Richardson has opted to drop out of the race
  • In more recent news former Democrat candidate John Kerry has decided to back Obama

  • In the republican primary McCain won by a margin of nearly 13,000 votes.
  • Iowa's winner Huckabee had a mere 11% of the vote, maybe he had his time in the spotlight and we won't see much more of Huckabee
  • Thompson and Giuliani continue to do poorly in the primaries, their campaigns may be coming to an end.

I don't think that Giuliani's campaign is coming to a close at all. I just think he was willing to risk a slow start in Iowa and New Hampshire while he focused most of his campaign money, time and resources on the bigger states such as California and New York.
