CNN/YouTube Debate
On July 23, Democratic presidential candidates faced questions directly from voters via homemade videos in the first CNN/YouTube debate. Some praised the debate format for putting a human face on many of the debate's most pertinent issues. Others criticized the debate, scoffing at the candidates' generic, uninspired answers.
